Our story

About Yogi108

We build load-rated apparatus for people who practice seriously — equipment you can trust with your full body weight, specified plainly so you always know what you are standing on.

Why we started

Yogi108 began with a simple frustration: most props are made to look the part, not to carry a body. When you hang, invert or arch over a piece of equipment, the difference between a frame that is welded and one that is merely bolted together is not cosmetic — it is the whole point. We set out to build apparatus that a teacher could stake a decade of daily classes on, and that an at-home practitioner could trust without a second thought.

The Grounded Apparatus standard

Everything we make is held to one internal standard we call Grounded Apparatus. It is less a slogan than a short list of non-negotiables:

  • Welded over bolted. Load-bearing joints are welded, not assembled from fasteners that loosen with repeated stress. Fewer joints, fewer points of failure.
  • Grip surfaces that stay planted. Feet, pads and mat surfaces are specified to hold position on real studio floors — wood, stone, cork — so the base stays quiet while you move.
  • Published specifications. Dimensions, materials and rated working loads are printed on every product page. If we cannot state a figure with confidence, we do not claim it.
  • Honest finishes. Powder-coated steel, solid hardwoods and OEKO-TEX-class textiles, chosen to age well rather than to photograph well.

How we specify load

Load ratings on our apparatus describe a tested working load with a safety margin held in reserve — not a theoretical maximum. We publish the rated figure, the materials it is built from, and the conditions it assumes (a level, stable surface and correct setup). Where a product is intended for assisted rather than full-weight use, we say so plainly. The aim is that you never have to guess.

What we value

  • Durability over novelty. We would rather refine a piece for years than release something new every season.
  • Clarity over marketing. Specs and ratings come first; the language stays calm and technical.
  • Respect for the practice. Our equipment is a tool in service of the practitioner and their teacher — never a shortcut around sound technique.
  • Support that lasts. A real person answers, parts are available, and we stand behind what we build.
